Your dreams may be more powerful than you know.

Hi all hope you like this blog post and like normal this review may contain spoilers for people who have not read the book yet. 

When your dreams come true, sometimes you get more than you bargained for. Natalie Johnson has always dreamed she's someone else; calm, beautiful, in control. A chosen warrior with an arch-nemesis and a dreamy boyfriend, the type that can make your heart quiver. Real-life is much different. She's tormented by a bully and endures the sharp tongue of her father, but finds solace in her dreams. When her bully ends up dead after a dream and everything around her begins to fall apart. Whatever killed Sarah in her dreams is now in reality, hunting her from the shadows. And it wants her dead. Somehow as the lines between reality and nightmare blur, Natalie must discover hidden strength to pull her friends and family back from the brink of madness.

I liked this book it a new twist on the whole vampire slayer type character with the whole Natalie fights them in her dreams at first and she looks totally different. I like the concept that her dreams start bleeding into her real life and Natalie has to figure out a way to deal with these new experiences and drama along with her normal life at school being bullied and such.  Her friends help her out and her dream boyfriend becomes real. She struggles for control over her two lives and in the end, defeats the evil trying to take over her town. 

Natalie lives her life being bullied by a mean cheerleader named Sarah McDonald and is best friends with a seemly nerdy guy named Tristan. What unusual about her life is her dreams in them she is a knock out blonde who is a vampire slayer with a mentor Mark and her bully is her friend. She has a mysterious half-demon boyfriend named Damien. Things get really weird when her dreams and her real-life collide and things that happened in her dreams start happing while she awake. 

Natalie has a dream where she saves a bunch of kids from a runaway bus. Her dream self starts to realize things getting self-aware. She later dreams that Sarah has a nasty rash on her skin and is mysteriously killed by jumping out a glass window apparently she was being possessed by a demon. Sarah in real life did not show up for the pep rally and later is found dead. Things get very weird for Natalie when she finds out she was born a so-called Paladin who is supposed to protect a powerful crystal. Her custodian Charles tells her he was sent 17 years ago to find her. Later the real Damien shows up and is an agent of WOMP World Organization of Magical Protection Natalie finds out that every time she dreams he was pulled into it and fell in love with her for real not just her slayer alter ego. 

Things get complicated when Natalie finds out her best friend Tristan wants to be more than just friends now she has to choose between him and her dream boyfriend Damien while fighting the bad guy Monarch and the there Patricians and deal with the fact she created and gave life to her dreams and made alternate dimension. She had to figure out to fight like the slayer but Damien did not have time to train her so she had to learn on the hard way by joining him to protect the city. She used the power of the crystal to defeat the Patricians, but it brought out a lot of demons that had to be dealt with. 

So with the help of her friends Tristan, Michelle, and Damien she started on the journey of riding the city of the evil demons and vampires. She then found out Monrach was not just from her dreams, but real and found his way out of the force field from the dream world. He kidnaps Natalie wanted to talk with the girl who created him and her friends have to rescue her. 

She was able to get away from Monrach by shoving his own knife in his neck then she ran to get out of the school where he held her. Then something weird happened the dream Natalie slayer saw the alternate Mr. Buckle and she was now having dreams about her other self from the real world. Natalie held her own against Morach and his minions before her friends showed up to help. They all started fighting the demons and Natalie went to go help Charles Buckle when that was done she had to go after Morach who walked away from the fighting bored. 

He set the gas in the kitchen to blow and the fire began everyone got out okay, but Damien was nowhere in sight. So Monrach was gone and Damien missing. Things have to move on Natalie has to be an official apart of WOMP and continue to train and learn how to be a Paladin.
